As a competitive Master’s athlete, I understand the discipline required to reach a podium, but I also know the "real world" challenges of balancing training with a busy life.

  • Professional Background: I am a Professor of Equine Emergency Surgery & Critical Care at Colorado State University of 22 years with a PhD in Comparative Pathology (emphasis in physiology) and board certified in both surgery and critical care medicine for large animals (that aren’t very different than human athletes!). I have studied and integrated sports medicine throughout my career as an avid triathlete.
